WHAT IS SUNSHINE AND A PLATE?

The Air Chatham's Sunshine and a Plate food festival is a Hospice EBoP fundraiser which celebrates the food, lifestyle and abundant sunshine of the Eastern Bay of Plenty. It's about living every moment and enjoying all the Eastern Bay has to offer.

Celebrate and share in the region’s lifestyle, artisan and wild food, hospitality, history and culture. Taste, learn, laugh and indulge at a range of foodie events to suit every taste.

All funds raised go towards providing free specialist palliative care services throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty

ABOUT HOSPICE

Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty provides specialist free palliative care to those who are terminally ill. The Hospice movement is about providing professional, specialised care to help people live every moment in whatever way is important to them, and giving quality care with dignity and respect in the place of their choice.

Hospice EBOP receives about 300 new referrals every year, and relies on community support to raise the $500,000 shortfall between government funding and basic operating costs. We are incredibly grateful for the 15,000 hours per year of volunteer time given to help us reduce our costs and raise funds to continue this free service.
